Tyler may initially present as a quiet and reserved young man that has a wonderful hidden sense of humor that will evidence itself once he becomes comfortable in his environment. Tyler is known for playing practical jokes and hopes to find a family that would enjoy similar interactions. Tyler has been described as a sweet and kind hearted. He can get along fairly easily with others although he admits that if others are picking on him he may lose his temper. He is continuing to work on managing his negative emotions in a more productive manner and has been making great progress. Tyler loves to play or watch basketball and football. He also loves hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Tyler does well with animals and really enjoys pets like dogs and cats. The only fear he mentioned are snakes. Some of the other activities he enjoys doing are drawing, coloring, completing puzzles, riding bikes and spending time with friends. Some of his favorite media entertainment includes Fast and Furious and WWE. He prefers to listen to rap and country music and finds music to be one of his positive coping skills. Tyler’s favorite food choices include deer, frog legs, steak and McDonald’s.
Tyler is looking for a family that enjoys having fun together and will want to engage with him in sports and outdoor activities. Academically, Tyler has some struggles and will need a family that will advocate for him and get him any additional supportive services that he may need. Tyler has aspirations of being involved in construction or a mechanic as a career. Tyler identifies as a Christian and currently attends church services. Tyler would be open to some travel as long as it does not involve trips via airplane. Tyler would benefit from having both a mom and dad that has a firm, but nurturing parenting style. Tyler needs to be in a home where he is the youngest child. Tyler has experienced significant trauma in his past and will need a family that is willing to invest in him and participate in therapeutic care as needed as he continues to heal.
