Johnathan is a bright and confident young man. He can be friendly and likes to meet new people. He does well in interacting with adults and in some areas relates on a mature level for his age. Johnathan is currently in the 8th grade and is a good student with needs for some extra support in math and reading. Johnathan has talked about college with no specific plans at this time. Johnathan has artistic talent in drawing. He enjoys spending time drawing as well as playing football. He also has an interest in legos, computer games, magic, and Pokemon. He doesn’t watch a significant amount of television but enjoys watching Dragon Ball Z. Johnathan has an inquisitive mind and enjoys building as well as taking things apart to figure out how to put them back together. Johnathan also likes to listen to heavy metal style music. Johnathan is open to the idea of traveling as long as he does not need to travel via airplane.
Johnathan has not expressed particular preferences about his forever family as he is just anxious to be adopted and move on with his life. He is open to the possibility of a family outside of Tennessee. Johnathan had a strong attachment to his family and will need a family that will understand the loss he has experienced. Johnathan may be placed with other children, although he recognized he may do better in a home with older children. Johnathan would like a family that will support his interests and like to do things as a family. He will need a family that has a consistent parenting style and will be willing to be involved in any academic or therapeutic recommendations.
