One of Elizabeth’s best qualities is that she likes to help others, and she feels important and validated when asked to help. As she learns to love herself, she is learning to love others. She is a special needs young lady, who with adequate guidance and love, has a lot of potential. She enjoys a variety of activities, including going to the mall, listening to music, and spending time with her friends. She likes field trips and going to new places. Elizabeth is learning about friendship skills and needs a home where she does not feel compelled to compete for resources. 

Elizabeth would do best in a home where she is the youngest child. Because most of Elizabeth’s life has been unpredictable, chaotic, and filled with loss, she needs parents that can help her feel safe by providing predictable, structured routines. Elizabeth needs a lot of attention and encouragement to build a healthy sense of self-esteem while she learns how to trust others. She needs parents who are patient, kind, and wise as they help Elizabeth negotiate how to become a new member of a family. Specifically, Elizabeth’s family should be prepared to be available and present when she has difficulty expressing her emotions. Sometimes simply sitting with Elizabeth is all she needs to feel safe and secure. At other times, she needs clear boundaries to help her understand the difference between positive and negative attention-seeking behaviors.
