David is a creative and active young man that is very hopeful about finding his forever family. David has the ability to behave in a respectful manner with adults and authority figures. He enjoys talking with adults he trusts. David loves to read and completes about 4 to 5 books per month. Some of his favorite books include Gone series, Percy Jackson series, and Mortal Instruments. He also enjoys graphic novels, the Avengers and Manga books. David likes to play games such as DC and Marvel. He especially likes to draw and create superheroes and has found this to be a very helpful coping tool as well. Some of his favorite superheroes include Avengers, spider-Man, Captain America, and the Hulk. David likes to be active and enjoys athletic activities such as playing football.
David likes to eat fruit, most vegetables, salads, chicken, steak, and seafood. He does not care for cheese, pizza, or spinach/greens. He likes ice cream but is not big into most sweets. David does not have a particular interest in listening to music and says he can listen to most types of music if someone else is playing it.
David would do best in a two family home and has no preference regarding family structure. He would need a family with limited or no other siblings and would likely do best being the youngest in the home. He will need a consistent, structured and patient parenting style and home environment. David will need a family that is willing to continue to maintain therapeutic needs and participates when recommended. David would like to be in a Christian family although he has not expressed a desire to attend church regularly. In the future, if David is able to resume a relationship with his older brother, his family would need to be in support of a sibling relationship.
