Heart Gallery ID #155

CJ has been described as “funny”, “caring” and “joyful.” He has the ability to be positive with his peers. He can engage in conversations with adults but will need open-ended questions to learn more about what he thinks and likes to do.

CJ has some artistic talent and loves to draw, primarily people. CJ also enjoys singing and listening to music. His favorite music styles include Katy Perry, pop, rap and some Christian. CJ says he really likes basketball, both watching and playing it, and would enjoy being on a team. CJ also enjoys watching Florida Gators, Lady Vols, and Miami Heat. CJ likes playing XBOX games like Pokemon and Mario 2, as well as playing with Hot Wheels cars.

CJ likes animals, with dogs being his favorite. He has hopes of being with a family that has a pet dog. Although school is not his favorite activity, CJ says his favorite subject is science. He has aspirations of possibly being a scientist and creating a new energy source. Other potential career interests include being an artist or a basketball player.

Favorite foods for CJ include hamburgers or any kind of fruit, while his favorite snack is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. He really does not like cooked vegetables, but he doesn’t mind vegetables if they are raw. A couple of his favorite holidays include Halloween and Christmas.

CJ is working on developing positive coping skills and says completing crossword puzzles are one of his favorite options.

CJ’s family preferences include having a mom and dad in a Christian home. CJ would ideally like to live in more of a city-type setting. As a Georgia Bulldogs fan, he would love to live in Georgia but is open to considering other possibilities. CJ said he would prefer to be in a home without siblings but would be open to having sisters. CJ may do best in a home with either no children or older siblings.

CJ has been exposed to a lot of trauma in his life and will need a family that is willing to follow any recommendations regarding his therapeutic and academic needs. CJ will need a family with a parenting style that provides structure, routine and patience. CJ very much wants to be adopted and needs a family that will see his potential.
