Brandon is a very handsome young man who enjoys watching movies and playing football. He likes to hang out with his friends and going swimming. He enjoys choir, baseball, and football at school. When asked if he could have three wishes granted, what would they be, he replied “a family, be more religious, and to be able to take care of my family if they are sick.” He loves to be around people that make him laugh and loves comedies. Brandon states that his favorite food is taco salad. He loves being outdoors and loves to go swimming. He states he likes history. Brandon makes average grades in school and needs a little extra help staying on task. He does chores at his current placement that include taking out the trash and sweeping the floors. His favorite vacation was when he went to Washington DC with his school. One of Brandon’s dreams is to go to Greece to see the Temple of Zeus. He loves Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving because he enjoys spending time with family.
Brandon is very proud of how he is working on becoming better in different areas in his life. He hopes a family will love him for him because he deserves a chance. Brandon really wants a family that will be active in church as he loves to go. Brandon wants people to know that he is very helpful when he is needed.
Brandon has experienced significant loss in his life and has been exposed to unhealthy environments. He functions well in a consistent and structured environment. He responds well to redirection and parental guidance. Brandon likes to be on the go and has high energy. He needs a home that would be willing to provide support to increase positive self-esteem for him and that will be willing to give him time to transition into their family. His family will need to advocate for him in the school setting and participate in his counseling. Brandon needs a family that will be willing to help structure his day and is very involved. When asked what Brandon wants in a family, he replied: I want a family that has either cats or dogs, very supportive, likes to be outdoors and maybe have at least one child.” Brandon would do well with a two parent or single family with male children his age or older. Brandon’s greatest need is for a family that will love him unconditionally and help him be the best he can be.
